The Philippine government has expressed serious concern and strongly condemned the recent ballistic missile launch conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on November 7, 2025.

In an official statement released by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Philippines denounced the launch as a provocative act that undermines peace, stability, and economic progress in the Korean Peninsula and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

“We reiterate our call for the DPRK to promptly cease these activities and abide by all its international obligations, including relevant UN Security Council Resolutions, and to commit to peaceful and constructive dialogue,” the DFA said.

The statement comes amid growing international concern over the DPRK’s continued missile testing, which has drawn criticism from regional neighbors and global powers. The Philippines, a long-standing advocate of nuclear disarmament and regional stability, reaffirmed its commitment to diplomatic engagement and multilateral cooperation.

The DFA emphasized that such actions threaten not only regional security but also global efforts to maintain peace and prevent escalation.
