The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) officially commenced the 9th iteration of its annual joint military exercise, AJEX DAGIT-PA 09-2025, on November 4, with activities scheduled across Luzon and Palawan until November 14.
Led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr., the exercise aims to strengthen the interoperability of the Philippine Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps in land, air, and maritime operations. AJEX stands for Dagat, Langit, Lupa, reflecting the multi-domain scope of the training.

“This exercise is a testament to our commitment to excellence, foresight, and unity of purpose,” General Brawner said. “Preparedness is our greatest peacekeeper, and unity is our strongest weapon. Together, we ensure that the Philippines will not only endure the storms ahead but prevail.”
The ten-day drill also highlights the AFP’s collaboration with key government agencies, including the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine National Police, reinforcing a whole-of-government approach to national security. Reserve forces are actively participating in joint and combined missions, further enhancing the country’s defense posture.
AJEX DAGIT-PA continues to serve as a cornerstone of the AFP’s modernization efforts, reaffirming its role in building a resilient and responsive military force capable of addressing evolving security challenges.
