Ground crew from the 5th Fighter Wing of the Philippine Air Force were seen conducting pre-flight preparations on the FA-50PH light fighter aircraft, signaling the Air Force’s active participation in the upcoming Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Joint Exercise DAGITPA 2025.

Set to formally commence on November 4, 2025, AJEX DAGITPA is the AFP’s premier joint exercise designed to enhance interoperability among the Army, Navy, and Air Force in conducting integrated air, land, and maritime operations. The inclusion of the FA-50PH in key exercise events highlights the Air Force’s growing capabilities in air defense and close air support.

The FA-50PH, a supersonic light combat aircraft, plays a vital role in the AFP’s modernization efforts and is expected to perform various tactical missions during the exercise. Its deployment reflects the Air Force’s readiness to contribute to joint force operations and its commitment to safeguarding Philippine sovereignty.

AJEX DAGITPA 2025 will bring together personnel, platforms, and systems from across the military to simulate real-world scenarios, reinforce command and control structures, and validate operational concepts in support of national defense and regional security.
