A majority of Filipinos continue to identify inflation as the most urgent national issue, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted in September 2025. The nationwide poll reveals that 63% of respondents consider rising prices the top concern that the government must address, followed by low wages (46%), poverty (33%), and job creation (29%).
The survey also shows a decline in public approval for the national administration. Only 29% of Filipinos expressed satisfaction with the government’s performance, while 33% disapproved. A significant 38% remained undecided, suggesting growing uncertainty or disengagement among the population.
Regional disparities in approval ratings were also evident. Support for the administration was highest in Mindanao (38%), while the National Capital Region (NCR) registered the lowest approval at 22%.
The results come amid persistent economic challenges and public frustration over the cost of living. Analysts note that the administration’s declining ratings may reflect dissatisfaction with its handling of core economic issues.
