The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has temporarily suspended the acceptance of all mail and parcel shipments bound for the United States, effective August 28, 2025, citing recent changes in U.S. customs regulations.

The move comes in response to the U.S. government’s suspension of its duty-free de minimis exemption and the imposition of stricter customs requirements. PHLPost said the decision was made to prevent inconvenience to customers and ensure compliance with international shipping standards.

In a public advisory issued on September 2, PHLPost clarified that customers who lodged items for U.S. delivery from August 22 onward may request retrieval and refunds, subject to existing guidelines and the submission of required documents.

PHLPost assured the public that updates will be provided once services to the U.S. resume. The agency also appealed for patience and cooperation as it works to navigate the evolving international postal landscape.
