Congressman Jesus Manuel “Bong” Suntay met today with Dr. Leonilo C. Angeles, EdD, Public Schools District Supervisor of Congressional District IV, Quezon City, along with key principals from public high schools in the district, to discuss the ongoing implementation of the Dynamic Learning Program (DLP) in CD IV schools.

The meeting focused on strengthening academic outcomes by scaling up the DLP, an innovative teaching framework developed by the Central Visayan Institute Foundation that emphasizes student independence, reduced lecture time, and activity-based learning.

Principals in attendance included:

                •             Ms. Dominga Cabadin (Josefa Jara Martinez Vocational High School)

                •             Mr. Noel delos Reyes (Krus na Ligas High School)

                •             Ms. Gina Obierna (Manuel A. Roxas High School)

                •             Ms. Remedios Danao (Quezon City High School)

These schools are among the first in NCR to adopt DLP, and the group discussed how Congressman Suntay’s office may support efforts to sustain and expand the program. Also discussed were strategies to improve students’ math comprehension, discipline, and access to technology, especially for learners from underprivileged backgrounds.

“Education is a long-term investment in our community,” Suntay said. “I am committed to supporting practical and impactful programs like DLP that help our students build confidence, focus, and stronger academic foundations.”

The dialogue concluded with a shared commitment to continue collaboration between the Office of the Congressman and DepEd QC Division IV to ensure quality, equitable education for all learners.
