On Circulating False Claims Regarding Individuals Conducting Blood Sugar Tests Contaminated with HIV

The Department of Health (DOH) warns the public on a circulating message on social media falsely claiming to be a member of the Faculty of Medicine visiting houses for a blood sugar test. The post claims that the needles used to inject are allegedly contaminated with HIV.
The Philippine National Police has also debunked this message, confirming that it is a scare tactic with no factual basis.

The DOH urges the public not to share unverified claims that may cause unnecessary alarm. Further, the public is enjoined to source information only from legitimate sources and platforms such as the health department, which can be accessed through the official links and social media handles.
