In a united front to bolster national peace and security, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) convened today for the 3rd Quarter Calendar Year 2024 National Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center (JPSCC) Meeting at the Bachrach Building 1 Auditorium, Port Area, Manila.
PNP Chief, Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil; AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr.; and PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil G. Gavan, led the discussions focused on enhancing peace and security measures across the nation.
A key highlight of the meeting was the signing of the JPSCC Resolution on the Integration of the National Task Force Sea Marshal (NTFSM) within the JPSCC Framework. This integration aims to bolster maritime security operations and inter-agency coordination to address security challenges in the country’s waterways.
Police General Marbil emphasized the importance of unified efforts among security forces, stating: “The integration of the NTF Sea Marshal into the JPSCC framework is a significant step forward in safeguarding our maritime domains and ensuring the safety of our citizens. Through collective resolve and synergy, we reaffirm our commitment to a safer and more secure Philippines.”
General Brawner echoed this sentiment, highlighting the critical role of the AFP in joint initiatives, while Admiral Gavan underscored the PCG’s dedication to protecting the nation’s maritime borders and ensuring seamless coordination with partner agencies.
The JPSCC, established to synchronize efforts of the PNP, AFP, and PCG in addressing national security concerns, continues to serve as a vital platform for aligning strategies, sharing resources, and enhancing interoperability in maintaining peace and order across the archipelago.
