Under the guidance of Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II vowed to work closely with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in determining the registration of the abandoned vehicle that was found in Pampanga, which contained illegal drugs.

“We will immediately act on this.
“It is part of our mandate to coordinate and partner with other law enforcement agencies in order to ensure safety in our surroundings. The LTO is always ready to provide assistance when necessary,” he added.
On Friday, law enforcers found a red Toyota Avanza, bearing plate number ZGS643, in a parking lot in Mabalacat, Pampanga. Authorities discovered P1.3 billion of suspected shabu inside the vehicle.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, which is a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the country.
Mendoza, meanwhile, vowed to strengthen its partnership with the PNP and other law enforcement agencies in their anti-criminality operations.
“Eradicating crimes in the country is a whole-of-nation approach. We in the LTO remain committed to be part of these anti-criminality measures,” Mendoza said.
