BULACAN RICE WAREHOUSE RAIDED

Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, along with other lawmakers, joins the fact-finding mission of the Bureau of Customs in the inspection of several large rice warehouses in Bulacan as part of the exercise of the oversight powers of Congress.

The inspection was conducted amid allegations that hoarding of rice supply is driving up the price of the staple grain.

With him are House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo, ACT-CIS Party List Rep. Edvic Yap, Bulacan 5th District Rep. Ambrosio Cruz, Jr., and Committee on Agriculture and Food Chairman Mark Enverga.

The group inspected the Great Harvest Rice Mill Warehouse, San Pedro Warehouse and the FD Rice Mill all located in the Inter-City Industrial Complex in Balagtas, Bulacan.
